Baton Rouge, the “Red Stick”, is the capital city of Louisiana. The Capital City is located approx 75 miles northwest of New Orleans, surrounded by plantation homes, beautiful mansions and gardens along the banks of the Mississippi River. It is served by interstates 10 and 12. The B.R. is a diverse and dynamic city filled with cultural and historical attractions. Also, the city has an academic aspect too, being home to the Southern University and the Louisiana State University.
